The 2021 Delaware River Sojourn occurred in August after a Covid hiatus in 2020 but retained the vigor and strength of the past 25 Sojourns. This year we paddled seven days beginning at Hancock, New York, where the East and West branches join to form the River that flows 330 miles to the Atlantic Ocean. With a week of wonder and amazement at the natural wonders of the beautiful treasure in our midst and over 75 others who enjoyed the weather that produced rain only once in the early evening, I felt blessed and empowered with river energy. Paddling 65 river miles of flat, crystal clear water with some good rapids is one of the most envigorating ways to discover the gifts nature has to give us if we take the time to be present in their midst. This collection of 119 images from the more than 1100 I took provides a brief view into the joy and beauty of the river and fellow sojourners enjoying it. Hopefully these images makes you want to paddle the River yourself.
